It is not only important in
the design of a logo, we must give much importance to the choice of typeface,
as it the message we want to communicate and brand values come off.
The importance of typography
in a design is such that, by changing the font can give a different context to
the message you want to submit, or a feeling or a different meaning.
In the management of
typography, we must be aware that this is as important as the images
themselves. And that both inappropriate images as fonts chosen without
consistency, can distort the message that seeks to convey.
In the case of the logo
design, the font takes its utmost importance as it really has the
responsibility to transmit the values and everything that represents the
company or brand.
The compounds typography logos
can only work as much as those who rely on the iconographic. A clear example is
Facebook, which has supported the typographic logo branding to the extent that
most of the world recognizes this network just by seeing the "f"
FACEBOOK.
Another example of an
excellent application of typography is Sony, with both very dynamic but very
serious typography, gives us this emphasis on trust and versatility of its
products.
Helvetica, Calibri, Franklin
Gothic, Arial, Georgia, Gill Sans, Impact and countless typefaces make a range
of options which we dip responsibly for creating logos and design materials.
